Sara Ferrer Olivella
Sara Ferrer Olivella is a development practitioner with a political science background. Sara has over thirteen years of professional experience working the United Nations and possesses strong negotiating and networking skills in highly politicized environments. Sara has vast country experience mostly in Asia and Africa. She now lives in New York and oversees the implementation of the MDG Achievement Fund. The Fund is a USD 710 million United Nations facility that finances 130 development programmes in 50 countries in their efforts to accelerate progress on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The fund was established in partnership with the Government of Spain. In her work she primarily focuses on those groundbreaking initiatives promoting Culture and Development and Conflict Prevention and Peace Building. She holds a European Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Democratization managed by the Inter-European University Center for Human Rights and Democratization in Italy.
