Together with the International Music Trust Fund the AIF is working to set up the Give2Music gateway -  a portfolio of international music organizations and projects that offers interested donors an insight into the work of some of the excellent and inspiring music initiatives around the world. All presented organizations and projects have gone through a thorough due diligence process. Music Crossroads International (MCI)                                                                      

Mission statement:  To “empower young Africans through music”

Music Crossroads International:

- offers unique opportunities and professional tools for young talented musicians from 15-25 years of age from marginalized backgrounds through training, education, performance and promotion;

- is responsible for coordination, strategy development, support and supervision, international fund-raising and promotion, regional activities, capacity building & network expansion  for Music Crossroads Academies and Festivals-workshops-competitions run by local independent NGO’s

- builds self-awareness, social inclusion and life skills of young musicians – including HIV/AIDS prevention, gender equality and healthy lifestyles: all crucial components for a life-long career in music and in other sectors

- contributes to the development of local music industries

Music. Play for Life                                                                                                        

 

Mission statement: "to encourage more music making in schools, communities, everywhere"

 

Music. Play for Life is an Australia-wide program conducted by the Australian Music Council. Its activities and outputs are structured around national campaigns which seek to bring about attitudinal and behavioural change leading to higher participation in active music making 1) in schools and 2) in community settings.

Kalkeri Sangeet Vidyalaya (KSV), Karnataka, India                                      

                                                                                                          

Mission: Kalkeri Sangeet Vidyalaya empowers, supports and encourages children from socially marginalised and economically disadvantaged backgrounds to realise their full potential and attain a better life. This is done through an intensive and comprehensive educational program of academics and music which is undertaken in a peaceful rural residential setting.

In such an atmosphere the children learn many social skills while receiving a nutritious diet and adequate healthcare. Care, love and compassion are fundamental elements of the whole process.
